Sooo I finallly made it to Guatape, bright and early, with a few fantastic ladies that I met at the soccer match... we met up at 8AM, grabbed the bus from the Caribe metro stop (instead of the doing the overpriced tour) and 2 hours later, we were there.
There's not a ton to do, other than climb 740 steps to the top of El Penol, admire the beauty of the place, and of course, take a ton of pictures.. oh and eat delicious, well deserved ice cream bars when you finish the trek up.. Honestly, what more do you need in life?
The trip to Guatape also coincided my one month of funemployment.. it was nice to celebrate with new friends and beautiful views :)
